Noticeboard

Phone lines are open from 8:30 each morning (Mon-Fri) to book a phone consultation with a GP. These are subject to capacity and once full, only emergency calls will be taken. If you need to be seen face to face, you will be.

Why does the Dr want to speak to me regarding my medication?

Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Why was the item I ordered not left by the GP?

When ordering an acute item (an item that does not appear on your repeat list of medication) the doctor may not issue it without speaking to you first. Please be aware of this when placing an order. You will not be contacted by a member of staff if your request cannot be fulfilled.

Why can I not get a particular bath or shower preparation prescribed?

The NHS will be asking doctors to stop or greatly reduce the prescribing of some
treatments. This is because the treatments are:
• Not as safe as other treatments OR
• Not as good (effective) as other treatments OR
• More expensive than other treatments that do the same thing.
